MCA Curriculum Overview
The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme is designed in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and follows a Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), Grading System, and Outcome Based Education (OBE) framework. The programme is designed to develop competent, responsible, and industry-ready computing professionals with strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, innovation, ethical values, and lifelong learning orientation.
The curriculum follows a learner-centric, multidisciplinary, and outcome-based approach that integrates fundamental and advanced computing concepts with practical learning, skill development, research, industry exposure, experiential learning, project-based learning, and emerging technology education. The programme equips students with competencies in diverse domains including Software Development, Data Science and Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Web and Mobile Application Development, Database Management, and emerging digital technologies. The MCA programme prepares students to pursue careers in the IT industry, software development, technology-driven organizations, research and innovation, entrepreneurship, and higher education.
